Leadership Retreats
Our leadership retreats tend to host small groups of leaders from the same organization or industry. Designed to provide leadership
Leaders Legacy Institute (LLI) helps leaders lead. We provide comprehensive training & development for individuals responsible for staff & team performance. We don’t just deliver leadership content & concepts; we get involved with how it becomes applied in your business.
Your leadership advancement is what inspires us! We help you visualize your legacy potential and deliver training & theory, followed by practical application strategies for you to inspire the people you lead, your teams, and yourself!
How often have you heard the phrase ‘one size does not fit all’ and agreed?
There can be exceptions. The essentials of leadership are precisely a ‘one-size fits all’ methodology. If the fundamentals of leadership are practiced and applied effectively, the outcome is success in any environment!
I was part of an executive leadership workshop that I was not fully looking forward to. The workshop was a full-day presentation called “Essentials of Leadership.” The agenda was typical with an introduction, presentation, breakout activities, and a debrief. About 10 minutes into the workshop, my expectations changed. We started off with an exercise and follow up Q & A that basically shook us all up. Little did I know that in that exercise, we immediately uncovered some of our own personal biases that without realizing it, have affected how we manage our staff. Don’s interaction with us was so natural. He kept us engaged from the start of the workshop and allowed us to provide him with areas in our jobs that we felt needed improvement rather than delivering basic leadership concepts for us to follow. Much of what we learned was about our own work behaviors and how certain “changed behaviors” can lead us to how well we build trust with our staff rather trying to apply ‘best practices’ in how to manage our staff. The workshop was amazing and fun, did not feel like a full workday. Best training I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to a lot over the years.
We used LLI for a two-week management training project that involved leadership assessment of our middle-management team, classroom training, and practical application. The management evaluations of our team were exceptional. LLI met with and sat side-by-side with our supervisor and management team individually to learn about their roles & responsibilities. Each evaluation was extremely thorough. I found there to be much more assessment into individual aptitudes and work behaviors followed by performance and productivity. After the assessments, the management team went through a classroom type training and presentation of LLI’s leadership Principles. Once the training presentation was done, LLI sat with each member of the management team to observe and evaluate their application of the training. We had 8 supervisors and managers complete the training and each of them could not say enough about the process. The feedback from the management team and their staff was that they had fun with LLI and didn’t fell like that were going through a training routine. We’ve had several variations of leadership training in the past and all have brought some value, but with LLI, we learned much more about active listening and empathy strategies that almost instantly showed improvement in our team leadership. We’ll be calling on LLI to help us with leadership development on an annual basis!
